When available, Langdale Place offers short-term care in the Personal Care Center. This type of stay is appropriate for the individual recovering from a hospital stay, after discharge from rehab, or when family members have a need to be away for several days.

Respite Care Services:

Level I

• Three meals per day
• Therapeutic diets
• Daily snacks
• Weekly Housekeeping with daily bed making and trash removal
• Social, cultural and educational programs
• Assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming
• 24-hour watchful oversight
• Scheduled transportation
• Emergency call system
• Personalized plan of care
• Medication supervision (excluding insulin injections, blood sugar checks, etc.)
• Reminders of meals and activities

Level II

• All Level I Services
• Assiatnace with self-managed incontinence
• Occasional reality orientation
• Escort services to meals/activities
• Assistance with insulin dependent diabetes
• Occasional additional assistance
• Escort to medical appointment
• Additional assistance with meals (such as cutting up foods)
